The imagery is so vivid and the lesson runs deep. You have a way of shaping silence and memory into something alive. Thank you for writing with such presence and care. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long while.

Thank you so much, Sunshine.

I think what fascinates me most about horror is that the monsters are rarely the real story. The real story is usually guilt, grief, regret, fear, or some truth we’ve tried very hard not to look at. The ghost is just the shape those things take when they finally come knocking.

I’m especially glad the silence and memory came through for you. I wanted the ringing phone to feel like more than a sound; like a conscience that refuses to be ignored and a truth that keeps finding its way back to the surface. Much like the lake itself.

Your kind words mean a great deal to me. Thank you for taking the time to read and to share your thoughts. Knowing the story lingered with you is one of the greatest compliments a writer can receive.

Stay entangled, my friend.

Thank you, Robes. I really appreciate you sharing more about your process and what drew you to this story. The way you shaped the ringing into something deeper truly landed for me. Your work always invites me to pay closer attention to what’s beneath the surface, both in your writing and in myself. I’m grateful to be here.
